H Co.       92nd Ill. Vol. Inf.

   Mustered In Sept. 4, 1862 at Rockford, Ill.
   Aged 23 years.
   Home of record listed as Lane Station, Ill.

   On Nov. 16, 1862 while marching through Lexington, Ky. a mob attempted to take the officers colored servants, the regiment fixed bayonets and loaded their muskets.  The servants were not taken.

   Discharged March 19, 1863 due to disablity.

        Post war;
   Moved to Elgin, Ill.
   Grocer & Postmaster at Superior, Neb.
   Member GAR G. L. Nevius Post in Rockford.
   Member GAR Veteran's Post #49 in Elgin.

   Jonathan T. Miller, age 97, Elgin's oldest Civil war Veteran, died at 4 this morning in Diggin's Home for the Aged, at 364 Moseley St.  Where he had resided since December 29th, previous to that, for nine years, Mr. Miller had made his home with his daughter and son-in-law, the Rev. and Mrs, Thomas E. Reamy, of 946 Prospect street, Elgin.
   The Veteran's death from infermities of age, reduces to 3, the number of remaining Civil war veterans in Elgin.
   Mr. Miller served in Co. H, of the 92 Ill. Infantry.  He saw action in the Nashville campaign, until illness compelled his retire from active duty.
