   Listed on the 1850 Federal Census #46/111 as Aged 17 years from New York living in Elgin, Ill's.
H Co. 8th Ill. Cav.
Farnsworth's Regiment
   Mustered In Oct. 10, 1864.
   Listed home of record as Wauconda, Ill's.
   Issued .56 7 shot Spencer Carbine, Revolver, and Saber.
   Mustered Out July 17, 1865.

   Joined Elgin GAR Veteran's Post #49 March 10, 1899.

   Henry C. Raymond died suddenly this morning at 6:30 o'clock at his home, 275 Orange street.  Death was due to heart trouble.
   He was born May 31, 1842, in Thompson county, New York.  He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Sadie Stuart.
   He was a member of the G.A.R., Eighth Illinois Cavalry association of Civil war veterans, and Monitor lodge, no. 522 A.F. & A.M., loyal L. Nunn Chapter, no. 96, R.A.M.
   Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Wait-Ross-Allanson Funeral church, with C.E. Schiller of the International Bible Students and Monitor lodge in charge of the service.  Burial at Bluff City cemetery.
