      William Ramsdell died Monday at his home on the Chicago road.  He had been a resident of Elgin for a number of years and was a familiar figure about town.  He was a brave soldier during the war, serving throughout its length, and had made a living in various ways since.  He came here from Geneva where he had resided for a few years.
