      A recent issue of the Inter national Typographical journal contains a set of resolutions adopted by the printers on the death of Col. Frank Seaman, a former resident of Elgin, who died at Knoxville, T4enn. on November 20.
      Mr. Seaman, who was a printer, was employed on The Daily News, prior to leaving Elgin twenty years ago.  He was a civil war veteran and was prominent in local G.A.R. circles, being a member of Veteran Post No. 49.
      After leaving Elgin, Mr. Seaman located at Knoxville.  He became active in Grand Army affairs in Tennessee and was elected State commander.  Mr. Seaman was 73 years old.

      I can find not promotion to Col.  Was this post war or a G.A.R. rank?
