   Mustered In Feb. 23, 1864.
   Aged 19 years.
   Home of record listed as Dundee, Ill's.
   Issued .58 rifled musket.
   Mustered Out July 6, 1865 in Louisville, Ky.
   Finial payout and discharge at Camp Douglas in Chicago, Ill's. July 12, 1865.

Occupation, Watchmaker.  Died Dec. 21, 1914, 8:15 pm at 164 N. Gifford.  Aged 72/10/21.  Cause of death listed as Capilary Bronchitus 6 weeks with Senility.  Undertaker retained. F. T. Norris.  Physician, E. H. Abbott.  Permit #15230.

   Fred C. Wahl, 164 North Gifford street, died last night at 8:15 o'clock, afgter an illness lasting six weeks.
   He was born in Germany in the year 1842, and came to this country when 18 years of age.  He had worked in the watch factory for thirty-four years.
   As a veteran of the Civil war he was a member of Veteran Post No. 49 G.A.R.  He fought in Company I, 52d Illinois Infantry.
   He is survived by a widow and five children, Mrs. Hattie Ehlert, Carpentersville; Mrs. Agnes Adkins, Elgin; Mrs. Edward Kee, Algonquin; Joseph, Elgin, and Merit of California.
   The funeral will be held at the residence at 2:30 o'clock tommorrow afternoon and at 3 o'clock at the Free Methodist church.  Burial at Bluff city.
   Mr. Whal was married three times.  His lates marriage was to Mrs. Mary E. Thompson, October 1, 1914.
  

   Buried at Bluff City Cemetery (Lot 2, Section 5 with a private headstone) in Elgin, Ill.
