   Enlisted Sept. 2, 1862.
   Listed home of record as Elgin, Ill's.
   Mustered In at Elgin, Ill's Nov. 15, 1862
   Wounded in Action, in Right shoulder and lung, action not listed.
   On the resignation of Capt. Renwick in May of 1863 Capt. Andrew Wood takes command and the battery is renamed;
Wood's Battery
   Deserted May 22, 1863
 
       From the Civil War Pension Records
Awarded a pension of $18.00 per month for his wound.
Resided in Geneva, Ill. in 1883 when the pension survey was taken.

      As recorded on the Elgin Sexton's ledger
Occupation, Attorney.  Died May 15, 1911, 3:00 pm at Elgin State Hospital.  Aged 73 years.  Cause of death listed as Pilagra 20 days, Senial Dementia 3 years.  Undertaker retained, O. A. Smith.  Physician, H. J. Smith.  Permit #13131. Buried at Geneva, Ill.
