   After orginazation the regiment was attached to the Garrison at Pulaski, Tenn. until May 1864.
   Re-designated May 16, 1864.

   Attached to District of North Alabama, Dept. of the Cumberland to Feb. 1865.
   Consolidated with the 40th USCT on Nov. 7, 1865.

   Died March 29, 1883 in Elgin of Lung Fever.   Aged 54/7/13.

       Levi Tennant, a well-known colored man, died at 10:30 o'clock to-day, after an illness extending over several months and inaugurated with Lung fever.  Deceased was about forty years old and leaves a wife and three children, the oldest of whom is but 9 years of age, but poorly provided for.  The funeral will occur Sunday afternoon.

   Buried in the GAR section at Bluff City Cemetery (Lot 14) in Elgin, Ill.
