Enlisted May 14, 1864.Home of record listed as Elgin, Ill's.
Mustered In June 16, 1864 at Camp Kane in Elgin, Ill's.
Garison duties at Fort Halleck guarding the rail line where it crossed the Mississippi River at Columbus, Ky.
Mid August the regiment was sent to Paducka, Ky. to check rebel raids into southern Illinois stealing horses and mules.
Mustered Out Oct. 10, 1864 at Camp Fry in Chicago, Ill's.
