      The remains of Geo. A. Webster were brought to Elgin this afternoon and interred at Bluff City cemetery.  He hd been a clerk in the Water Department of Chicago and was sick nine days of pneumonia.  His age was 56 years.  For many years he was ain the railway mail service and afterwards ibn the United States custom house.  He was a member of G.H. Thomas post, Grand Army of the Republic.
      Mr. Webster was a son of the late Benj. Webster, who was one of Elgin's early residents and who followed the trade of painter.  There are other children, among them being a brother at DesPlaines, and a married sister, Mattie, whose home is at Denver.
