   Aged 22 years.
   Enlisted Sept. 12, 1861.
   Home of record listed as Wyoming coming from Ohio.
   Mustered In Sept. 24, 1861 at Dubuque, Iowa.
   Issued .69 US Altered Musket.
   Promoted 3rd Cpl. July 29, 1862.
   Promoted 2nd Cpl. Nov. 1, 1862.
   Promoted 1st Cpl. Dec. 8, 1862.
   Died of Typhoid Fever March 20, 1863 on board the Hospital ship City of Memphis.
   Buried in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks, St. Louis, Mo.  Section 38, Grave #205.
