Mustered In May 1, 1862 as a private at Camp Douglas in Chicago, Ill's.Promoted Cpl.
The Regiment was taken prisoner at Harpers Ferry, Va. without firing a shot. They were paroled the next day and sent to Chicago.
Exchanged April 1863.
Died at Williamsburg, Ky. Sept. 10, 1863.
